Go on a unique tour of Imlil and the Atlas Mountains and learn about the local Berber culture. Learn how to make a tagine with a local family and choose to hike the beautiful Atlas Mountains or immerse yourself in tea culture on a break.

Get picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 9:00 am and reach the village of Imlil after an hour’s journey. Meet your local guide and his team who will take you to the local family who will welcome you for your cooking workshop in the morning at the locals’ home. At the end of the day, you will know how to prepare an authentic Berber tagine made with meat and fresh vegetables.

After preparing the tagine, take a short break from other activities while the dish simmers on the fire. Choose between 2 options

Option RELAX

Appreciate the tranquility of the place and immerse yourself in the Berber tea culture in the company of your local family. Learn how to prepare traditional Moroccan tea with lots of fresh mountain herbs picked by you in the garden.

Option TREKKING 

Stretch your legs on a 1.5-hour trek along the Imlil Valley to discover Berber villages and enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the neighboring Atlas.

After lunch, your driver will drive you along the scenic road crossing the Kik Plateau, a rocky limestone promontory with sublime views of the region. End your excursion at the artificial lake of Lalla Takerhoust before returning to your accommodation in Marrakech around 5:00 PM.
