The beaches of Oualidia are protected from the violent swells of the Atlantic Ocean by a large sandbank that stretches across the mouth of the lagoon. Here, you will see local fishermen looking for oysters, shellfish and fish for sale in dozens of markets in the town. You will be able to pick the fish you want and watch them cook for you on the beach.
The specialty of the town of Oualidia are oysters, seafood and spider crabs that fishermen can make you taste under a parasol by the beach.
